| Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza are a lil’ bit country, a lil’ bit rock & roll and all original. They created and co-host Creative Juice, a hip show with the motto, “Make It, Bake It, and Cocktail Shake It”. The Dark Horse….Who are Cathie and Steve? When Cathie and Steve, first met 6 years ago on “New York Street” (Paramount Studios) a creative synergy was born. They both had creative roots in the television industry and a combined total of 18 years in the costume and art department. Working nights on the back lot, they realized they were unhappy with the lack of Lifestyle Television Shows and believed they could produce something different. What do you get with a lot of talent and $3,000? In 2004, along with another believer, Greg Byers, they formed, Two Bees and A Pea Productions, and invested $3,000 to shoot a pilot for Creative Juice. The Creative Juice Concept: - Make It, Bake It & Cocktail Shake It - Keep the projects Accessible & Successful - Inspire, Teach & Have Fun The Order: The pilot was a smashing success and Creative Juice was picked up for a total 104 episodes, a Holiday Special and a 5-Part Halloween Special by the Scripps owned DIY network. Creative Juice airs daily on DIY, daily on HGTV & all week on HGTV-hd. The Nomination: On March 14th, 2007, Cathie and Steve were honored to learn they had been nominated for their first Emmy in the Outstanding Lifestyle Host category, along with Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagasse and Paula Deen. This is the 1st nomination for Cathie, Steve and HGTV.
